- Apply this code to increase the professional component fee by 50% when the imaging facility utilizes tomosynthesis equipment rather than standard 2D digital mammography.
Common Pitfalls
- Billing E448 in conjunction with X169 or X417 will trigger an automatic rejection as these codes are mutually exclusive for the same-day service.
