This fee is applicable for the arthrodesis (surgical fusion) of each additional midtarsal joint of the foot, beyond the first one covered by R696. This service is performed in the same operative session as R696. The parent procedure R696 includes any necessary neurovascular exploration and/or protection and tenolysis, as noted on page of the Schedule.

As per the note for R696, the service includes any neurovascular exploration and/or protection and tenolysis, when rendered.

The parent procedure R696 is not payable in addition to R695 for the same patient on the same day.
