This service is for each additional biopsy performed using Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS). It is an add-on code to G050 (Endobronchial ultrasound for guided biopsy of hilar and/or mediastinal lymph nodes) and can be billed up to a maximum of three times per session.
The '#' prefix indicates that for services performed in a hospital, the premises, equipment, supplies, and personnel are funded by the hospital's global budget. If provided in an Integrated Community Health Services Centre (ICHSC), these costs are funded by the ICHSC. Patients cannot be charged for these components. See for details.
