This service represents the professional component for a dark adaptation curve test, such as with a Goldmann adaptometer or an equivalent device. It includes the physician's work in interpreting the results and providing a report. The corresponding technical component is billed as G851. As per , the professional component must be rendered personally by the physician. This diagnostic procedure may be ordered by a physician or, under specific circumstances outlined in the Schedule, by a nurse practitioner (see ).
