This service represents the professional component for phlebography and/or carotid pulse tracing, which may include systolic time intervals. The fee covers the physician's work in interpreting the results and providing a report. The technical component is billed separately as G519.
When to Use
- Use G518 when you are providing the professional interpretation and reporting for a carotid pulse tracing or phlebography procedure.
- Bill G518 in conjunction with G519 when you perform both the technical procedure and the professional interpretation in an office setting.

- Billing G518 without a corresponding G519 claim or without documented evidence of the professional interpretation and report.
