When to Use

- Bill L076 when performing a cervical smear in conjunction with a pelvic exam for diagnostic purposes, provided the criteria for a formal consultation or assessment are not met.
Common Pitfalls
- Do not bill L076 in addition to a comprehensive assessment code like A007 or A008, as the cervical smear is considered a component of the physical examination within those codes.
