Common Pitfalls
- Billing Q205 in conjunction with an office visit fee (A007) is generally disallowed unless a separate, medically necessary assessment is performed and documented.
- Submitting Q205 for non-influenza vaccines, such as pneumococcal or shingles vaccines, will result in rejection; use the appropriate G-code or specific injection fee instead.
