- Select X233 over X232 (CT Pelvis with contrast only) or X231 (CT Pelvis without contrast) when the diagnostic question requires the comparative tissue density data provided by both phases.

- Billing X233 in combination with X234 (CT Pelvis with and without contrast, often used for specific multi-phase protocols) will trigger an automatic rejection as these codes are mutually exclusive.
