A repeat Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the neck using another plane or a different pulse sequence. This code is used for additional sequences following an initial multislice sequence (X431). The service is limited to a maximum of 3 repeats.
When to Use
- Use X435 to bill for additional sequences in a different plane (e.g., sagittal or coronal) following the initial multislice sequence billed under X431.
- Use X435 when a different pulse sequence (e.g., T2-weighted vs. T1-weighted) is clinically necessary and performed as a distinct repeat scan beyond the initial X431.
