Z345 – Subsequent tracheo-bronchial aspiration
OHIP Respiratory Surgical Procedures Code — RESPIRATORY SURGICAL PROCEDURES · Schedule of Benefits
This fee code applies to a subsequent tracheo-bronchial aspiration procedure performed by the same physician who rendered the initial aspiration (Z344). This is classified as an Independent Operative Procedure (IOP) and is subject to the billing rules outlined on page of the Schedule of Benefits. Specifically, it is not payable for:
• operating surgeons
• when respiratory unit fees apply
• within the first two hours post-operatively.
Not to apply to: 1. operating surgeons, 2. when respiratory unit fees apply; or 3. within the first two hours post-operatively.
