This code is an add-on to M083 (Intranasal ethmoidectomy including maxillary antrostomy, with endoscope - unilateral) when the procedure is performed bilaterally. This flat fee is added to the fee for the primary procedure.

- Use E844 specifically when performing a bilateral intranasal ethmoidectomy in conjunction with M083 for the primary side.
- Apply this code when the surgical plan dictates a bilateral approach to address chronic rhinosinusitis or polyposis that requires intervention on both the left and right ethmoid sinuses.
