F058 represents the closed reduction of a single fracture of a phalanx in the foot or ankle. This is a non-operative procedure to realign the fractured bone without making a surgical incision. It is listed under the Musculoskeletal System surgical procedures for the foot and ankle. Anaesthesia may be required. For reduction of additional phalanges during the same session, see E561. If rigid immobilization via a plaster cast is applied outside of a hospital, E584 may be claimed in addition.
