- Select G312 for restoring function to a blocked permanent catheter, distinguishing it from routine catheter flushing or maintenance procedures.
Common Pitfalls
- Billing G312 for routine catheter maintenance or simple saline flushes, which are considered part of the global fee for the catheter management and are not separately billable.
- Attempting to claim G312 alongside G324 or G336 for the same catheter intervention, as this may be flagged as unbundling or duplicate billing for the same procedural session.
