G372 – Injection with visit

G372 is for a single intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injection. It is claimed in two scenarios:
1. When an injection is administered in conjunction with another assessment or visit ('with visit').
2. As an 'additional injection' when multiple injections are given and injections are the sole reason for the visit (in this case, the first injection is claimed as G373 and subsequent injections are claimed as G372).
The fee includes interpretation of the injection. This service is not insured for vitamin injections when rendered for the purpose of facilitating weight loss.
When delegated, the medical record must be dated, identify the non-physician performing the service, and contain a brief note on the procedure performed.
