Identifies Video technology used during a Comprehensive Virtual Care Service rendered within an Existing/Ongoing Patient-Physician Relationship.
When to Use
- Use K300A when billing a comprehensive service from Appendix J (e.g., A007) via video to receive 100% of the in-person fee.
- Use K300A for follow-up assessments where the patient has had an in-person visit with you or your group within the last 24 months.
Common Pitfalls
- Submitting K300A with a service code not listed in Appendix J Section 1 will result in a rejection or a manual audit flag.
- Billing K300A when the patient does not meet the 'Existing/Ongoing Relationship' criteria, such as a new patient who has never been seen in-person by your practice.
- Attempting to bill both K300A and K301A on the same service encounter; the system will reject the claim as they are mutually exclusive.

- Always bill the full in-person fee code (e.g., A007) alongside K300A to ensure the claim processes at the correct 100% value.
