A modality indicator used to identify that a Comprehensive Virtual Care Service was delivered using Telephone technology (audio only). It must be included on claims for services listed in Appendix J - Section 1 when rendered within an Existing/Ongoing Patient-Physician Relationship.

The physician must document the modality used in the patient's medical record.

For time-based services, only time spent in direct communication with the patient or their representative is used to calculate units.

Start and stop times must be recorded for time-based services.
