When to Use
- Use L358 for the collection of a cervical smear (Pap test) when performed as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with a visit.
- Bill L358 when performing a cervical screening for a patient who is asymptomatic and due for routine cytology.

- Do not bill L358 in addition to a comprehensive physical examination code like A007, as the cervical smear is considered part of the global fee for a physical.
