R070 – Small/Intermediate pedicle flap

This surgical procedure is for the initial stage of creating a small or intermediate pedicle flap, with examples including a cross finger or cervical finger flap. Subsequent stages are billed using R071. An additional fee, E069, may be claimed for the preparation of a contracted recipient site.
• Surgical Assistant (suffix B): The fee is based on 6 basic units plus time units.
• Anaesthesia (suffix C): The fee is based on 7 basic units plus time units.
The calculation of time units for both assistant and anaesthesia services follows the rules outlined in the General Preamble (see pages and ).
