Aortic valve replacement by percutaneous approach, listed with the aortic valve procedures in Cardiac Surgery. R739 includes all aspects of the service including vascular access, intraprocedural imaging guidance, balloon valvuloplasty as required, and valve deployment. Intraoperative images obtained and/or interpreted in conjunction with R739 are not eligible for separate payment. E650 is only eligible for payment with R739 when cardiopulmonary bypass is medically necessary due to hybrid procedures, intraoperative complications, or patient indication. A second assistant is payable for R739 without prior authorization ().
