Fees for an assistant (suffix B) or anaesthetist (suffix C) are calculated based on units.
When to Use
- Use S207 for both laparoscopic and open appendectomies, as the code does not differentiate by surgical approach.
- Claim S207 for appendectomies performed during the course of another procedure, provided the appendectomy is medically indicated and not incidental.
