S292 – Common duct stricture, dissection and/or resection
OHIP Digestive System Surgical Procedures Code — DIGESTIVE SYSTEM SURGICAL PROCEDURES · Schedule of Benefits
This surgical procedure involves the repair of a common bile duct stricture through dissection and/or resection. The service is eligible for payment to the surgeon (suffix A), with additional fees for assistant (suffix B) and anaesthesiologist (suffix C) services.
• Surgeon (A): The fee is the amount listed in the Schedule.
• Assistant (B): The fee is calculated using 7 base units plus time units. Time is calculated per 15-minute increment with increasing unit values after the first hour and after 2.5 hours (see ).
• Anaesthetist (C): The fee is calculated using 10 base units plus time units. Time is calculated per 15-minute increment with increasing unit values after the first hour (see ).
