S281 – Choledochoduodenostomy, choledochoenterostomy, or choledochocholechostomy

A surgical procedure involving the anastomosis of the common bile duct to another organ to facilitate bile drainage. Specific variations include:
• Choledochoduodenostomy: Anastomosis to the duodenum.
• Choledochoenterostomy: Anastomosis to the jejunum or another part of the small intestine.
• Choledochocholechostomy: Anastomosis to the gallbladder.
This procedure may be performed for reconstruction after resection of a common duct stricture (see S292). It is not payable with S276.
