This procedure is eligible for payment only when rendered for a patient who has received a positive result from one of the following preliminary tests: • Faecal occult blood test(s) or faecal immunochemical test(s) (FIT) • Sigmoidoscopy • Barium enema • CT abdomen/pelvis or CT colonography examination(s)

Anaesthesia for Z497 is payable using E032C, which provides 4 basic units plus time units. This replaces the listed basic units for Z497. Anaesthesia extra units listed on are eligible for payment with E032C. See for details.

Assistant at surgery is not an eligible service ('Asst: nil').
