A surgical procedure involving the percutaneous or retrograde removal of renal calculi from the kidney or upper urinary tract. The service fee is for the surgeon (suffix A), with separate calculations for assistant (suffix B, 6 base units) and anaesthetist (suffix C, 7 base units) services. Add-on code E759 is payable for stone disintegration, and E772 is payable for the removal of a staghorn calculus. See T3.
