Endoscopic simple removal of a foreign body from the external ear. As per the note on , this service is not payable if it is claimed solely for the removal of cerumen (ear wax).
When to Use
- Use Z915 when you perform an endoscopic-assisted removal of a physical foreign body, such as a bead, insect, or organic material, from the external auditory canal.
- Use this code when the procedure requires the use of an endoscope to visualize and retrieve an object that cannot be safely removed via standard otoscopy or irrigation.
