A premium for the first person seen during a non-elective special visit to the physician's office, for visits that commence on a weekday between 07:00 and 17:00. Fee $20.55 (max. 1 per time period). Schedule of Benefits Special Visit Premium Table VIII, Physician Office (). The time the special visit takes place must be documented in the medical record (). Bill with the appropriate A-prefix assessment from the General Listings.
The time of the special visit must be documented on the medical record.
The service must be non-elective.
Usage limits
Maximum 1 per time period (Weekdays 07:00-17:00).
Special visit premiums are intended to compensate for the disruption and travel associated with non-elective emergency visits.
Table VIII (Physician Office) does not provide for 'additional person seen' premiums; only the first person seen is eligible.
Virtual care (video or telephone) is not eligible for special visit premiums.
