An amount is payable for extra units in addition to basic units when an anaesthesiologist (or any physician providing anaesthetic services) administers an anaesthetic to an infant from 29 days to 1 year of age.
The patient must be an infant aged from 29 days to 1 year inclusive.
The service must be rendered in conjunction with a procedural anaesthesia service.
