Portal lymphadenectomy performed as an add-on to specific hepatectomy or choledochectomy procedures.
A formal portal lymphadenectomy must be performed.
The operative record must explicitly describe the removal of all lymphatic tissue surrounding the common bile duct, hepatic artery, and portal vein.
