This fee is an add-on to N288 and is payable for each additional cable used during a major nerve graft procedure involving a mixed sensory and motor nerve, or a pure motor nerve.
Payment Rules:
• The fee for the nerve graft (N288) and this add-on includes the harvesting of the nerve(s) required for grafting ().
• The main procedure (N288) includes any exploration, decompression, division, excision, and/or neurolysis of the nerves involved ().
• All peripheral nerve fee codes, including this one, include any guidance, nerve stimulation, or nerve mapping if performed ().
