R475 is a one-stage ankle and subtalar fusion, with or without additional midtarsal(s), listed under Foot and Ankle, Arthrodesis (). Payment rules:
• R719 (ankle arthrodesis) or R695 (subtalar arthrodesis) are not payable in addition to R475 same patient, same side, same day. - R475 is not eligible for payment for treatment of acute (< 6 weeks from injury) ankle and/or subtalar fractures. Treatment of acute ankle and/or subtalar fractures by one-stage ankle and subtalar fusion should be claimed using the fee code(s) that describe the fracture(s) being treated.
