This service is for the surgical repair of a laceration greater than 15.1 cm in length, located on an area other than the face. This fee is for a standard closure. For complex lacerations requiring more time or specific anatomical alignment, see Z187 or Z188. Note: As per , wound closure via tissue adhesives (such as cyanoacrylate) is payable at 50% of the listed fee.
For the E420 trauma premium, the medical record must list the Injury Severity Score (ISS).
