E531 – Extensive debridement
OHIP Integumentary System Surgical Procedures Code — INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM SURGICAL PROCEDURES · Schedule of Benefits
This is an add-on service payable when extensive debridement is required in conjunction with a laceration repair. The fee for this service is determined on an Independent Consideration (IC) basis. As per the rules for IC services on page , claims must be submitted with a supporting letter explaining the amount claimed, an appropriate operative report, and a comparison of the scope and difficulty of the procedure relative to non-IC procedures in the Schedule.
Claims for Independent Consideration (IC) services must be submitted with a supporting letter explaining the amount of the fee claimed, and must include an appropriate operative or consultation report, and a comparison of the scope and difficulty of the procedure in relation to non-IC procedures in the Schedule.
