E932
E932 – Primary bone graft reconstruction (separate site) in addition to local repair, unilateral
OHIP Surgical Assists Code — MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM SURGICAL PROCEDURES · Schedule of Benefits
When to Use
- Use E932 when performing a primary bone graft to a separate site during a unilateral orbit and maxilla fracture reduction, such as F142 or F150.
- Apply this code specifically to account for the unilateral nature of the bone graft reconstruction when the primary fracture repair is also unilateral.
Common Pitfalls
- Do not bill E932 in conjunction with Z263, Z264, Z265, Z266, E975, or E976, as these are explicitly restricted.
- Avoid using E932 for bilateral procedures; it is strictly defined for unilateral reconstruction and will be rejected if the primary procedure is billed as bilateral.
Billing Tips
- Ensure the primary procedure (e.g., F142 or F150) is billed on the same claim to justify the addition of the E932 graft code.
- If the procedure is performed after hours or involves a trauma patient meeting the ISS criteria, apply the appropriate percentage premiums (E409, E410, or E420) to the total procedural fee.
