Computerized rotation tests are a diagnostic balance test used in the assessment of vestibular function. When to Use
- Use G108 when performing objective, computerized rotational chair testing to quantify vestibular function in patients with chronic vertigo or suspected vestibular hypofunction.
- Use G108 as a distinct diagnostic procedure when the clinical assessment requires objective data beyond standard caloric testing (G104) or electronystagmography (G105).
Common Pitfalls
- Billing G108 on the same day as G104 or G105 without clear documentation of distinct clinical indications may lead to claims being flagged for unbundling.
- Failure to maintain the specific computerized printout or raw data report in the patient chart is a frequent cause for recovery during Ministry audits.
