Osteotomy of the middle or proximal phalanx, or a metacarpal bone. This service is a reconstructive surgical procedure for bone deformities of the hand and wrist. It is listed as an alternative to R257 (osteotomy - terminal phalanx). For each additional osteotomy performed during the same operative session, the add-on code E591 may be claimed.
This procedure has 7 basic units for anaesthesia (Anae) and 6 basic units for an assistant (Asst).
