This service is for the vaginal surgeon's component of a primary approach to vaginal repair when performed by two surgeons. The abdominal surgeon's component is billed separately using the code S740. An add-on premium, E863, is payable for a 25% increase when the procedure is performed laparoscopically. This service is part of a series for vaginal repairs, with other codes for repairs after failed procedures.
When to Use
- Use S730 specifically when you are the vaginal surgeon performing the vaginal component of a two-surgeon primary vaginal repair procedure.
- Use S730 in conjunction with S740, which must be billed by the abdominal surgeon for the same operative session.
