This fee code represents the service provided by the vaginal surgeon in a two-surgeon team performing a creation of a vagina (vaginoplasty) when it follows a previous failed procedure. This code must be billed in conjunction with S733, which is claimed by the abdominal surgeon for their component of the same procedure. The procedure may be performed laparoscopically, which is eligible for a premium using E863.
When to Use
- Use S732 exclusively as the vaginal surgeon component for a vaginoplasty procedure that is specifically a revision following a previous failed surgical attempt.
- Use S732 in conjunction with S733 when the surgical team is divided into a vaginal surgeon and an abdominal surgeon for a complex, multi-cavity reconstruction.
