A premium for the first person seen during a non-elective special visit to a patient's home (other than a long-term care institution), for visits that commence Monday to Friday between 17:00 and 24:00. Fee $67.85 (max. 10 (total of first and additional person seen) per time period). Schedule of Benefits Special Visit Premium Table VI, Patient's Home (not long-term care) (). The time the special visit takes place must be documented in the medical record (). B960 and B990 maximums per physician per day count non-elective and elective visits together. Not payable with A007 or A001 rendered in the home. Bill with the appropriate A-prefix assessment from the General Listings.

The physician must travel from one location to the patient's home (the destination).
The physician must be available to provide follow-up care or arrange coverage.
Usage limits
Maximum of 10 services per time period (total of first and additional person seen premiums). Note: For home visits, only the 'first person seen' premium is typically applicable per visit to a dwelling.
A multiple resident dwelling is defined as a single location sharing a common external entrance (e.g., apartment, retirement home, hostel, group home).
Travelling to visit a patient outside the physician's usual geographical area of practice is an uninsured service.
