G192
G192 – Video fluoroscopic multichannel urodynamic assessment
OHIP Diagnostic & Therapeutic Procedures Code — DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES · Schedule of Benefits
Video fluoroscopic multichannel urodynamic assessment to include monitoring of intravesicular, intra-abdominal, and urethral pressures, with simultaneous fluoroscope imaging and recording of filling and voiding phases including interpretation.
When to Use
- Use G192 when performing a comprehensive urodynamic study that requires simultaneous fluoroscopic imaging to visualize bladder neck and urethral anatomy during filling and voiding.
- Select G192 over G193 or G194 when the clinical protocol necessitates the full multichannel pressure monitoring (intravesicular, intra-abdominal, and urethral) combined with video recording.
Common Pitfalls
- Billing G192 in conjunction with G900 is a direct violation of the Schedule of Benefits, as residual urine measurement is considered inclusive to the urodynamic procedure.
- Submitting G192 without documentation of all three required pressure channels (intravesicular, intra-abdominal, and urethral) will lead to recovery during an audit.
Billing Tips
- Ensure the claim includes the mandatory fluoroscopic imaging component, as billing G192 without the video/imaging record is an incorrect use of this specific code compared to standard cystometrogram codes.
