This service is for an anterior vaginal repair with or without posterior repair and repair of uterine prolapse (Fothergill or Watkin's interposition). The fee for this procedure is inclusive of a posterior repair and/or a repair of uterine prolapse (Fothergill or Watkin's interposition) if performed at the same time, as per the 'with or without' clause defined in the Schedule (). This procedure is typically performed under general anaesthetic.
When to Use
- Use S720 for an anterior colporrhaphy when performed in conjunction with a posterior repair or a uterine prolapse repair (Fothergill or Watkin's interposition).
- Use this code as the primary procedure when the surgical plan includes both anterior and posterior vaginal wall repairs, as the posterior component is inclusive.

- Do not bill S716 (posterior repair) or S717 (anterior repair) separately when performing S720; the Schedule explicitly defines S720 as inclusive of these components.
