By when the case starts. C998C covers both weekday daytime with sacrifice of office hours and evenings. Schedule of Benefits
Anaesthesia special visit premium payable when an anaesthesiologist is required to travel to a hospital to administer an anaesthetic for a non-elective case that commences during evenings (17:00h - 24:00h) Monday to Friday, or for non-elective surgery requiring sacrifice of office hours on weekdays (07:00h - 17:00h). This premium is eligible for payment only for the first patient seen on each special visit. This premium is payable in addition to the after-hours premiums E400C or E401C. All general requirements for special visits as described on pages to must be met.
The time at which the special visit takes place must be documented on the medical record. When a special visit service occurs in a hospital where common medical records are maintained, the time when the visit takes place may be documented anywhere in the common medical record.
