Resection of exteriorized intestine. This surgical procedure involves the excision of a portion of the intestine that has been exteriorized. This service is eligible for assistant and anaesthesia fees, calculated based on specified basic and time units.
When to Use
- Use Z750 for the formal resection of an existing stoma or exteriorized bowel segment that does not involve a full formal stoma closure (S160).
- Apply this code when performing a localized excision of an exteriorized intestinal segment during a revision procedure that falls outside the scope of a standard bowel resection (S162/S164).
