Open reduction for an intra-articular fracture of the hand or wrist. This is a surgical procedure where the fee (F010A) includes the surgeon's work. Fees for an assistant (F010B) and an anaesthetist (F010C) are calculated separately based on basic and time units.
An operative report is required.
For services involving time units, the start and end times must be recorded in the patient's medical record.
If claiming the Trauma Premium (E420), the Injury Severity Score (ISS) must be listed in the medical record.
